On June 28, 2012, one day after the decisive and final conference of the joint committee of Bundestag and Bundesrat on the Mediation Act, the Cologne University of Applied Sciences held its symposium on the New Mediation Act. The symposium was supported by the Minister of Justice of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, Thomas Kutschaty. Joachim Hund von Hagen assisted as one of the directors of the Research Center for Commercial Mediation at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences and as one of the experts of the group of experts for the panel discussion.
